A rug placed on the passage to create a liminal. Pink rug from the For Higher Power project (2007), later used in a collaborative work with students from ABK Stuttgart at the Floating University.

Protecting palms, camellias, figs, and others from sustained frost temperatures. Multiple layers of insulating material applied, with root systems protected in the soil with bark mulch to ensure survival through the next year. Caring includes planning for the future. With this in mind, packaging is created. A sculptural quality emerges.

One of the first apples harvested from the apple tree producing delicate apples with red flesh. Tree established in sandy soil, growing well despite heavy lichen coverage. Flavor: berry-like.

A local pigeons has died, one of two already around. Found on the ground, likely deceased for a few hours. Could only have died since this morning; no visible wounds. Was a very hot day. Nothing remains in the forest unchanged; everything is constantly altered and serves a purpose in some way.

After rainfall, many snails become visible. They often populate young plants. Snails are collected and relocated to another site. To engage more closely, they are held in the warm hand for a period. Objective: better understand snails and provide a stable support for them.

Since autumn 2022, two three-part winter-hard palms from the Musée de la Fraise project have been stored on the land. Deep pits were dug for each pot and filled with a mix of quartz sand, coconut fiber, and compost. Plants were thoroughly watered. Long-term behavior uncertain. Sheltered, sunny location chosen.
