Natalia Medebach (*1973, St. Petersburg, RU/DE) is a conceptual artist and spiritual teacher based in Vasoldsberg, Austria. Her work explores the relationship between invisible connections and visible separations or boundaries between the macro and the micro worlds. For Natalia, her art and her life form a complex unity, with each part defined only in relation to the whole.

For the Project of Releasing the Forces of Nature: Traces of Life, Natalia seeks to collect traces of life on canvas sheets. Her interest lies in both visible and invisible connections, viewing the forest as a living body with veins and organs. She selects specific sites for her encounters with people, offering treatments such as Shiatsu, Reiki, and other practices on canvas sheets. To host these sessions, she constructs a two-part pavilion from deadwood, comprising a treatment area and a waiting space. Each canvas records the energy of the encounter and is then placed in the forest, where it will be shaped by nature over the course of three years.
