Michael Kleine lives and works in Berlin. His practice moves between formats, across architecture, displays, performances, music and sculptural work in dialogue with site and context.

His work carefully choreographs the encounter between visitor, art and site, shifting perspectives to make the conditions and protagonists of a space newly apparent. Light, and the interplay between interior and exterior, often play an important role within his installations. Collaborative processes are a recurring element of Michael Kleine's work. 

Almost invisible at first, Ausblick by Michael Kleine subtly alters the conditions of looking. A simple metal structure leans against a tree, inviting visitors to climb and assume a position above the forest floor. From this elevated vantage point, the familiar landscape appears differently. The work is less an object than a shift in perspective: a physical and perceptual displacement that turns looking into an active experience. Referencing the traditional hunting stand, Ausblick transforms a structure associated with observation and control into a place of attention, pause and contemplation.The intervention remains deliberately understated. Rather than imposing itself on the forest, it asks what becomes visible when we change where—and how—we look.
