Martin G. Schicht (*1968, Reutlingen, DE) is a visual artist and curator based in Zurich, Berlin, and Albogasio. His work has been exhibited and performed in numerous international institutions, theaters, galleries, and project spaces. More recently, he has been moving away from these conventional venues. Increasingly, his works are presented within participatory projects, dissolving the traditional dichotomy between presentation and reception. At the Forest Research Platform, Martin continues to explore the potential of performative and ephemeral gestures within shared, ecologically attuned spaces.
Lin May Saeed (*1973–2023) passed away shortly before the opening of her major exhibition at the Georg Kolbe Museum. Her artistic practice centered on human–animal relationships, a subject that was both a creative focus and a personal commitment.
Christl Mudrak, who invited Martin G. Schicht to participate in the exhibition in the forest, also explores relationships between animals, humans, and nature. This shared focus inspired Schicht to create a place for animals, in honor of Lin May Saeed, through a participatory time capsule.
