Jasmine Parsley (she/they) is an artist from Virginia, USA, based in Berlin whose practice examines how place can be read, deconstructed, activated and reimagined through vegetation. They hold a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of the Arts, Berlin, and approach architecture as a performative practice with transformative potential–where bodies gather, and linger, creating ephemeral architectures which open up new ways of encountering the everyday and overlooked. Food, spontaneous vegetation and the externalization of the kitchen in public space are central to their work, connecting social, political, and ecological questions. Their practice spans walks, workshops, happenings, dinners, performances, and writing.

Paula Erstmann is a Berlin-based artist who works primarily with food as an artistic medium. Through performances, menus, and edible installations, she explores the social, cultural, and political contexts of food, creating artistic research projects that connect art and everyday life.

Her culinary practice opens both sensory and social spaces, using shared meals to foster dialogue and bridge distances between people. As a food poet and social activist, she investigates the stories embedded in what we eat, the objects we eat from, and the collective memories that food evokes.

Since 2019, Erstmann has been active in Feuer & Flamme, a community initiative at Berlin’s Dragonerareal featuring a communal kitchen, collective oven, and open ceramics studio. She is also a member of Urbane Praxis Berlin e.V. and develops participatory culinary interventions across the city.

Verkostung is an invitation to slow down and attune to the environment of Krämerwald through our senses. A ritual, a procession, a moment of coming together which unfolds through taste. The act of eating is a starting point to untangle and reveal traces of different histories and interventions embedded in the land as well as forces, relations and interactions that produce the forest. 

On summer solstice, the longest day of the year and shortest night, guests will be guided through the forest from taste to taste - lingering where particular species dwell. Celebrating and contemplating the season as it radically changes direction. Shifting from verdant growth and abundance towards fruiting, seeding, and eventually darkness and dormancy.
