Jadwiga Skalska is a Berlin based architect, with a background also in urban design. In her work she explores spatial concepts through processes of transformation, working with existing conditions, materials, and environments to produce interventions grounded in care and context. Her interests include threshold spaces, overlooked spatial dynamics, and how small, precise interventions can shift the way we perceive and experience a place.

Krąg [krɔŋɡ] - a line or object in the shape of a circle; also, a group of people who share something in common.*

Krąg is a structure made from discarded bricks found in the forest, remnants of a former campsite. The reclaimed bricks are reassembled to form an open circular structure, creating a place to gather, sit, and direct attention. During gatherings, Krąg can focus attention inward, toward its centre. At other times, it opens outward, framing the surrounding forest and drawing attention to the landscape. As the bricks are laid without mortar, the intervention can be easily disassembled after use and transformed into something else.
